Make a Difference Day

Wickenburg Landscape is very grateful that Gloria Leija thought of us when the Wickenburg High School Youth Commission wanted to install a small flower/landscape garden for the Town of Wickenburg’s annual “Make a Difference Day”. The project location is at the downtown wishing well from the bathroom to the main street. This location enabled the Youth Commissions' work to stand out for all the town residents and visitors to see year round.

Aaron Wolfe was able to participate in some of the planning sessions as well as answer some of the design questions that arose during the development stage. Since he has lived in Wickenburg almost 40 years he has come to appreciate those who also call Wickenburg home and what makes our own more special than most is our sense of community which was on display at the annual "Make a Difference Day". Throughout the 4 month process he was extremely impressed by the willingness of the Commission to both plan and participate in the actual installation of the plants and spreading the rock. With such excitement from each of the Commission members about this project we were happy that Wickenburg Landscape was able to donate all the plant material, rock, boulders, irrigation, and installation labor.

We would like to thank Kirk Artrip and Eric Almazan of Wickenburg Landscape for donating part of their Saturday to help ensure that this project was completed during the time allotted. Also, thanks to Reynaldo from the Town of Wickenburg Parks Department for all of his help with the irrigation and coordinating the final placement of the trees and planter pots and a very heartfelt thanks to Robert Carmona, the Town of Wickenburg’s Parks Director and all of his staff for helping with this project and supplying the behind the scenes work that was necessary for the rest of us do our part in this project.

Finally, thank you to each of the members of the Youth Commission, Chairman Mahala Mills, Chase Ballard, Annie Masters, Haylee Johnson, Shallen Harn, Dylan Healy, Mauro Robles, and Trey Samsill for all of their hard work and dedication to seeing this project though to the end and let's not forget if there is any problems with the irrigation Trey was the last man who touched it…

Del E. Webb Performing Arts Center's Annual Fundraiser

This past week was a scorcher in a couple of different ways. Wickenburg Landscape sponsored the "GO Wing Men" at the annual Del E. Webb Performing Arts Center's Annual Fundraiser "Guys Who Grill". It was a great day with the fundraiser raising more than $16,000 for this year's Camp Imagination.

We made Don Fisher's Famous Spicy Asian Chicken Wings along with Aaron Wolfe's Crisp and Salty Chicken wings. We also decided to go above and beyond this year and add a dessert. Keeping with the theme “Guys Who Grill” we make a grilled bacon brittle and served it over French Vanilla ice cream, WOW!

We are really proud of all the guys who helped out during the event and also during all the practice runs. All of the efforts culminated in us tying for best booth/performance and best of all we KEPT the title of “Best Chicken” category. We are all looking forward to what we can add for next year but what really want to know is can we get a little bit cooler weather?

Wickenburg's Extreme Park Makeover event

Wickenburg Landscape was excited to provide eight new trees, their installation and irrigation, to shade the entrance walkway from the parking lot to the main pavilion at Sunset Park in conjunction with the Town of Wickenburg's Extreme Park Makeover event at Sunset Park April 25 to recognize Arbor Day 2014!

Warehouse 4450’ event was spectacular success

The Wickenburg Children’s cultural Organization (WCO) thanks all who made our Spring Fundraiser “Warehouse 4450” a spectacular success.

It was a wonderful evening, complete with delicious food and great entertainment. Participation increased more than 10 percent from 2013’s event. This is our major fundraiser to help keep the Garcia Little Red Schoolhouse open.

In addition, we kicked off our fund drive to be able to provide field trips to the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM) to all area sixth-grade students. The MIM in Phoenix is the only museum of its kind in the United States and one of two in the world that we are aware of. Music from around the World is showcased, and sixth-graders study world history - a perfect fit.

We made a great start thanks to generous donors at our fundraiser, and we are more than a third of the way to our goal. Additional donations may be made to the WCO, 245 N. Tegner St., Wickenburg, AZ 85390.

We want to extend a special thanks to the Boyer Family Foundation, William and Julia Hobart, John and Dita Daub, Peter and Elaine Schweitzer, Dr. Edward and Olivia Kirk, Wickenburg Landscape and Irrigation, and Benner-Nawman for their generous donations that enabled the event to be a success.

WCO welcomes volunteers and those wishing to help in our mission: “The mission of the WCO is to enrich the lives of children through music and the arts and help preserve the Garcia Little Red Schoolhouse.

Wickenburg Art Club improvements 50th Anniversary

Members of the Wickenburg Art Club never slowed down this summer and are ready to show off some beautiful building improvements as the fall season begins. These improvements were prompted by the desire to really spruce things up in time for the club's upcoming 50th Anniversary in 2014. The Wickenburg Art Center, home of the Wickenburg Art Club, now sports a freshly painted exterior decoration and a flagstone walkway and patio area. Customized wrought iron railing will finish the new, polished look. The interior has a new look as well, the highlight being the newly painted front gallery which now has a wall color that enhances the look of the club member's artwork. The Art Club was pleased to use local contractors for the work, as well as the elbow grease of many volunteer-members. Fred Fleck, Art Club VP - Building said, "We still have an access ramp to install which will complete the outside revamp. It will be made out of brick pavers that were generously donated by Aaron Wolfe of Wickenburg Landscaping."

Champion for Children

Aaron Wolfe (right), owner of Wickenburg Landscaping, was presented with Wickenburg school district’s Champions for Children Award, by District Superintendent Dr. Howard Carlson last week during the regular school board meeting. Wolfe donated trees, bushes, supplies, crews, and his time to assist in the beautification of both Vulture Peak Middle School and Hassayampa Elementary School campuses. “Many people do great things in our district and sometimes go unrecognized for the incredible work they are providing our students,” Carlson noted. “These people care about kids, and their actions show it each and every day. We want to honor people like this as “Champions for Children.”

Making It Easy and Enjoyable to Work With Us
on Projects of All Shapes and Sizes

We prioritize your satisfaction at every step in our process to make it as easy as possible for you to work with us. Here's what to expect:

Step 1: Get in Touch

Schedule a free 15-minute phone consultation so we can learn more about your project. If we're a good fit for you, we'll schedule an on-site consultation to start a more in-depth discussion. If we're not a good fit, we're happy to recommend another trusted professional who may be more suited to your project.

Step 2: Schedule Your Consultation

Use our simple online calendar to schedule a one-hour consultation. This is where we'll visit your property to get into the specifics of the landscape work you're interested in.

Step 3: On-Site Visit

During this visit, which lasts up to an hour, we'll discuss your needs and give you some insights about things you may not be aware of. We'll acquire a plot plan of your property to have on hand as we begin to sketch out some of your ideas. We'll educate you on the pros and cons of various options so you can make informed decisions.

For landscape design and installation projects, we can typically deliver a design plan within five business days. We can provide a standard maintenance estimate within two business days.

Step 4: Design Plan Presentation

We'll work with you to develop a sketched design and talk to you about any revisions or questions you have. It typically takes about two revisions to finalize your design plan. However, if it takes more time, we'll discuss any additional design fees and be clear with you about what you can expect. Once we're in agreement, we'll develop a budget for the plan and present it to you.

Step 5: Design Approval + Agreement Signing

You'll receive a detailed estimate for the project and have the opportunity to approve it in our convenient online portal. With your approval, we'll complete a detailed CAD design plan and share it with you. We'll also collect the initial payment and schedule the project—so you're never left wondering when we'll begin. Within the customer portal, we'll outline the steps you can expect, provide an accurate estimate of how long each step will take, and update you on our progress every Friday.

Step 6: Installation

Our uniformed crew will show up on time and ready to work. We'll walk the property with you to mark the layout and introduce you to who will be working on your property. You'll be invoiced at various points during the project, which will all be clearly laid out in your online portal. Follow along with our progress on-site and in the portal!

Step 7: Final Walkthrough + Ongoing Maintenance

Before we complete the project and ask for the final payment, we will walk your property with you and create a checklist to be sure everything is done to our standards and your satisfaction. We'll also discuss any maintenance options and warranties that may apply to your project.

As our Customer for Life, we follow up with you (at no additional cost!) in 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, and 11 months to be sure you're still happy with everything. This also gives us an opportunity to check for potential problems—that way, we can address them while the warranty is still in effect.
